Artist Bio
Sean Bryers
Born in 1988, Sean grew up in a small town called West Yellowstone, Montana, an area known for its magical beauty and of course the Yellowstone National Park. He now resides in Missoula and attends the University of Montana, School of Fine Art, where he is currently working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting/drawing and also a Bachelor of Art Education. Sean plans to graduate in the fall of 2012 after student teaching art in and around Montana.
Sean developed his artistic skills as an acrylic landscape artist, and has always carried a sense of nature in his artwork. In his recent work he has been surging into the realm of abstraction and conceptual art by focusing on spontaneous creations and constructions made by both nature and mankind.
Sean has exhibited his work in many Missoula art galleries such as the Dana Annex, Union Hall Art space, Freddie’s Mercantile, Food for Thought, The of Gallery of Visual Arts, and the University Center.
Sean’s artwork is heavily inspired by artists: Alex Grey, Jonas Bergurt, Andy Goldsworthy, Jackson Pollock, Eva Hesse, Philip Guston, Banksy, Kandisnky, and Jim Poor
